Nala's record
The visit goes onto Nala's recordThe weight and what was given stay on itThe next vaccination, written downAnd the reminder goes out on its own on the day
A veterinary clinic sells two very different things at once: procedures —the consultation, the vaccination, the surgery— and products —the food, the wormer, the collar—. A shop POS knows nothing about the first and a clinical program knows nothing about the second.
Here they go together. The same receipt has room for today's consultation, the twenty-kilo bag of food they are taking home and the wormer, and it all ends up on the animal's record: what was given, when, and when the next one is due.
And what keeps a clinic going: the reminder for the vaccination about to run out, the insurers that pay part of it, and dog grooming with its own diary.

What the insurer pays and what the owner pays, kept apart on the same receipt.
